The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Emily Butler can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Aunt Emily was such a special woman. I have such fond memories of Mud and Aunt Emily. Their late night calls where I pick up the phone to use it and hear Mud say “Em is you awake” a little while after I pick up to use again but this time would be “Vera is you awake”. Or the time Aunt Emily called over to get Steve to shovel the driveway for her, I told her I will send him over when he got out of the shower. When he got over she was already out with an axe beating the ice at the end of the driveway. She was 90 at this time. Such a strong woman and smart. After Mud passed and I couldn’t remember how to make caramel sauce with cottage pudding all I had to do was call across the street because Aunt Emily knew all the recipes. She will certainly be missed by all.
