WILSON, Betty Lorraine (nee Bishop) – It is with heavy hearts we announced the passing of the matriarch of the Wilson family. Betty Lorraine Wilson, who fought a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, December 1, 2018. She was predeceased by her loving husband, William Wilson; parents: Churnside and Mary Bishop; siblings: Peter and Madeline and grandsons: Stevie and Adam. Leaving to mourn her children: Steve (Liz), Perry (Annette) and Kim; grandchildren: Ryan, Ashley, Nicholas, William, Brittany and Jenna; 10 great grandchildren; sisters: Emma and Marie; numerous, nieces, nephews, special nieces: Marion and Paula and her long time companion Vince Rice. At Betty’s request cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 2:00 -4:00 and 7:00 -9:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday December 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Barrett’s Funeral Chapel, Mt. Pearl. Interment to follow at Topsail United Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in Betty’s memory to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
