Condolences

Condolence From: Loretta O’Brien
Condolence: Thinking of your family in the loss of your wonderful Mom. She was perhaps my Moms first friend at Meadowcreek and they built a kinship of mutual respect and caring.
I too considered her a friend and enjoyed our daily chats, We shared a common bond as wives of sailors, who actually both sailed the John Cabot, albeit many years apart.
We shared many laughs and a few tears reminiscing together. She was always delighted to hear my ship was in port
I am priveledged to have known her. She will be remembered fondly by us both

Condolence: It is with great sadness I heard of Aunt Edna's passing
so many memories of Aunt Edna and Uncle Randell from watching ice bergs on my last visit as a teenager to trying to figure out what language all of the sisters
were using while sitting around our kitchen table with a pot of tea. she was truly a great soul who will be missed. All my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time

Condolence From: Susan
Condolence: We had a long history with Edna and Randell. Both families (John and Theresa Butler) moved to Newfoundland from Nova Scotia at the same time in 1965 so that Randell and our father could take up new jobs on the John Cabot. We called Mr Barnes The Bear. As children we were often in their compay. They even joined us in celebrating our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Edna was the last of the group to pass away.

We connected again in the last couple of years as my parents moved to Meadowcreek where Edna was residing. Edna was a lovely lady.

I know my parents would have wanted me to pass on condolences in person; however, I am currently out of the country and not able to do so. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Take comfort in the time you had with your parents.

Susan (Butler) Cardoulis
