PYE, Roger – It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Roger Albert Pye announces his passing on Sunday, August 5th 2018. Roger, age 58, courageously battled cancer during this past year with an abundance of support from his family and friends. His loving son, Mark, was by his side at his passing. Predeceased by his father; Albert (Bert) Pye. Leaving to mourn and cherish his memory his adored son; Mark Pye, of whom he was incredibly proud. His mother; Joyce Pye, brothers and sisters; Keith, Sandy (Cal), Dianne, Peggy, Craig and Lynn (Gwen), Pauline (Mark’s mom) and special friend Marilyn, as well as many nieces and nephews. Public visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 7th from 10-12, 2-4 and 7-9. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 8th at 2:00pm from Barrett’s Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
The family, especially Mark, would like to express sincere gratitude and thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Miller Centre Palliative Care and the Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, and many friends who were so kind to Roger during his illness.
