Condolence From: Wallace Gregory
Condolence: I got to know Bob while we were on the MUN wrestling during the early 1970's, and while he was completing his master's program. We would spend time in coach Denes Szvetko's office discussing human physiology and other esoteric topics. We would run in to each other at various events over the years and would often pick up conversations as if we had been in constant contact. He had the combination of a strong intellect, a sense of humour and social skills which made him an ideal teacher.
Please accept my condolences, and my wish that you have nothing but positive memories of his time with us.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to Bob's family. Such a shock to hear of his death. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sorrowful time. I have known Bob since the late sixties, at the Marine Lab where he was a scuba diver, at Mun when he was on the faculty of Physical Education, and later when working at CNA. As noted by so many others he was a real gentleman, a fine example as a teacher and yes!, that smile! I shall remember him that way.

Condolence: Elizabeth, Hayley, Alex, Lauren, and Mom Smith – We have had the privilege of working with Bob for many years at CNA but, more importantly, we have been blessed with his friendship. The three of us have shared so much in that time – unbelievably funny moments, many lunches at our favourite Chinese restaurant (where we were often the last to leave), stories about our families, and worrisome moments too as Bob rode the rollercoaster of his illness. We always had each other’s backs in every situation. We will never forget him and the happiness he added to both of our lives.
