Obituary for Robert "Bob" Smith

Robert "Bob" Smith
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert Kenneth Smith announces his peaceful passing surrounded by his family on Monday, July 30, 2018 at the age of 66. Bob courageously battled cancer for three years with a positive, easy-going attitude that matched his lighthearted personality. Predeceased by his father Albert Kenneth Smith and parents-in-law Aubrey and Phyllis Hamlyn. Leaving to celebrate his life, his wife of 33 years, Elizabeth Hamlyn, his three children, Hayley, Alexander and Lauren Smith, of whom he was incredibly proud, his mother Helen (Eaton) Smith, brother Doug Smith (Rebecca Roome) and sister Janet Smith. Sister-in-law Rosalyn Gluck (Denis) and brother-in-law Doug Hamlyn (Anthony Bonato) and nephews and nieces Jeremy Smith (Cyra Belbin), Lindsay Gluck (Jeff Robillard), Ashley Gluck (Neil Sturm), and Andrew Gluck (Renee). Bob was an educator for thirty years and impacted the lives of the many students whom he taught and tutored. He also leaves behind a large group of beloved friends, cousins, and extended family.
