Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Sunday, June 3, 2018, James Masters, age 95 years. Predeceased by his loving wife: Mabel (May 17, 2018); parents: Willis & Mary Anne; sisters: Anne, Gladys (Bill Grant); brothers: William (Ben), Levi. Leaving to mourn his children: Kenneth (Katherine), Beverley (James Dougherty), Jane Ann (Frank Green), Terrence (Melina Benson), Elaine, Monique (Kevin Wareham) & James (Clarice); step-son: Wayne Slade (Lynn); 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; step-grandson: David Wareham; many nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family & friends. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at St. Clare’s for their tender care and kindness; his caregivers, Madonna Hynes, Jennifer Murphy & Sharon Street; and Dr. Essiji. Visitations at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 10am-9pm and Wednesday, June 6 from 10am-11:30am. Funeral service to follow at Barrett’s Chapel at 12pm. Inurnment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in James` memory may be made to the Autism Society.
