Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Thursday, May 17, 2018, Mabel Masters, age 93 years. Predeceased by her parents: Charles & Eliza; brothers: Lesley, Stan, & Bill; sisters: Jessie, Phoebe, Edith & Effie. Leaving to mourn her husband of 71 years: James; children: Wayne (Lynn), Kenneth (Katherine), Beverley (James Dougherty), Jane Ann (Frank Green), Terrance (Melina Benson), Elaine, Monique (Kevin Wareham) & James (Clarice); 21 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; step-grandson: David Wareham; many nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family & friends. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at 4 West St. Clare’s for their tender care and kindness; her caregivers, Madonna Hynes, Jennifer Murphy & Sharon Street; and Dr. Essiji. Visitations at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Friday, May 18, 2018 from 1pm-9pm and Saturday, May 19 from 10am-12pm. Funeral service to follow at Barrett’s Chapel at 2pm. Inurnment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mabel’s memory may be made to the Autism Society.
