Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at St. John’s, Max Butler, age 86 years. Predeceased by his first wife: Olive (Stokes); father: Hector; birthmother: Gwendolyn; brothers: Ray and Hector; sister: Betty. Leaving to mourn his wife: Anne, and many members of the Ryan family; mother: Bertha; children: Geoff (Christine), Gerry (Lily), Diane (Jeff) and Stephen (Christina); step-son: Bobby Stokes Baird; brothers: Gerry (Ruth) and David (Bonnie); grandchildren: Justin (Ashley), Michael (Amy), Chelsea and Gregory; step-grandchildren: Regan, Taylor, Carson, Cailen and Connor; 4 step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Special thanks to the staff at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their loving care. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue with visitations on Thursday and Friday, May 3 & 4, 2018 from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm. Funeral service to be held from Barrett’s Chapel on Saturday, May 5 at 2pm. Inurnment will take place on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Mount Pleasant Cemetery at 1pm. As an expression of sympathy flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Max’s memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home.
