CHAFE, Elizabeth (Betty) – February 19, 1952-April 28, 2018.
Passed away at The Palliative Care Unit of The Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 after a battle with Cancer, Betty Chafe age 66 years. Predeceased by her parents: Jean and Melvin Chafe. Leaving to mourn two sisters: Evelyn (with whom she resided) and Linda Snelgrove (Terry); three brothers: Wilson (Gloria), Albert (Gertrude) and Kevin (Suzanne). Also her seven nieces and nephews: Corrina Carberry (Brian), John Chafe (Joanne), Tonia Chafe (David), Sam Snelgrove (Ashley), Lisa Chafe (Adam), Corey Chafe (Camilla) and Gordie Snelgrove (Katherine); uncle Rex Piercey (Judy); aunt Shirley Buffett; as well a number of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends, especially her card buddies whom she loved, from her Monday and Wednesday night clubs. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Sunday and Monday from 2pm-9pm. Cremation to take place on Tuesday. Funeral service to be held from St. George’s Anglican Church in Petty Harbour on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to be held following the service at St. George’s Anglican Cemetery, Petty Harbour.
