Condolence From: Jaret a Manuel
Condolence: Aunt Jean & family, Please accept my condolences regarding Uncle Burt’s passing. Unfortunately, we are unable to pay our respects in person but know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Uncle Burt was a consummate gentleman, a man of sharp wit, deep intellect, and a man who had a great love for his family - two and four legs mattered not. He truly was the last of his generation and although he passes on - his spirit lives within us. I remember my last visit to Eastaff with my wife. Uncle Burt was sharper than a tack and we had some laughs. When we left, Uncle Burt and Aunt Jean were together smiling and waving out the window. After all those years, through thick and thin — there they were like two lovebirds glowing. With Deepest Sympathy, Jaret Manuel, Anna & family.

Condolence: Dear Aunt Jean, Vernon, Cynthia, Brian, Robert Peter, and families. We were so saddened to hear of Uncle Bert's passing on Monday. We, and I, have so many fond memories of Uncle Bert and the whole family. My memories go back to visits to Bert's Lewisport home as a child, and to many family gatherings and visits to Princess Avenue, LeMarchant Road, and Eastaff. Uncle Bert's kindness, dignity, and wisdom are particularly memorable. I enjoyed reading Bert's memoirs this past year. Our thoughts are with you all as you take time to reflect on and celebrate a remarkable person and his life.
