Pack (nee Chafe), Alma Regina (June 18, 1931 – March 6, 2018).

Supported by her loving family, Alma passed peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit, on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Predeceased by her husband Selby, sisters Dorothy Noseworthy, Joan Pack and brother Andrew Chafe.

Lovingly remembered by daughters, Stella Callighen (Michael) and Diane Winsor (Gary); son Douglas (Josée); Grandchildren Lauren Callighen, Nathan Callighen (Annie Hua), David Winsor (Meghan), Stephen Winsor (Ollie), Andrew Winsor and Cassandra Pack; and Great grandsons Liam Redstone (his dad Peter Redstone), Matthew Winsor and Eoin Winsor; sister Hannah Seymour Ayres (Clary), brother Alex Chafe (Lucy), sisters-in-law Gladys Chafe and Rita Irving. Also celebrating the life of this wonderful lady is a wide circle of loving and supportive nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, in particular her St. Luke’s Cottages community.

Special thank you to Dr. Peter Robbins, Community Health Nurse Kelly Collins, Sue Devi (TLC Homecare) and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. Leonard A. Miller Center for their wonderful care, compassion and kindness.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, March 8, 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place from The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, 1 Cornwall Crescent, St. John’s on Friday, March 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Inurnment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road, St. John’s. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Bridges to Hope, Inc. 39 Cookstown Road, St. John’s (www.bridgestohope.ca), or to a charity of one’s choice.
