Obituary for William George Newhook

William George  Newhook
Passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family, William George Newhook, age 85 years. Predeceased by his wife: Sylvia Whitten; son: Kenneth James; Mom: Minnie Crann; Dad: James and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Leaving to mourn his loving children: Bonnie (Rick), Donnie (Donna), Edward (Debbie), Wayne, Gary (Kim) and Joy; granddaughters: Christa, Holly, Sylvia-Lynn, Samantha, Nicole and Chelsea; grandsons: Kenny, Jason, Justin, Jonathan, Wayne Jr. and Shane; 9 great-grandchildren; siblings: Doug (Barb), Elizabeth, Eileen Reid, Beatrice Harris (Ed), Joanne Cooper (Tom), Iris Hidgon (Verdon), Ed (Bonnie) and Sylvia Rowe; nieces; nephews and a large circle of family and friends. The Newhook family would like to thank the staff at Pleasantview Towers for the loving care they gave him, 1SW for his 2 years stay and 3NW for his last year, the recreation staff for the many hours he enjoyed with the music, games, etc. Also thanks to his sweetie Taylor for all the love you gave him. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue Monday, October 9th from 3pm-9pm and Tuesday, October 10th from 10am-9pm. Funeral service to take place at Barrett’s Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, October 11th at 11am. Interment at St. George’s Cemetery, Petty Harbour on Sunday, October 15, 2017.
