PARSONS, Gorden William Joseph Parsons- June 27, 1950 – September 25, 2017. Age 67 years. Marching to heaven…Capt. Gorden (Bud) William Joseph Parsons is now finally at peace and able to be himself again. Gord is predeceased by his father: Gorden, mother: Jean, sister: Faith, grandson: Samuel Parsons, stepmother: Maud, stepbrother: George, father-in-law: James Boland, brother-in-law: Donald Boland. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife of 47 years Lorraine (nee Boland) loving children: daughter Kelly (Bradley) Scott, son Kenneth (Donna), his four adoring grandchildren: Annie and Austen Scott, Daniel and Nevaeh Parsons, brother Perry (Christina), special niece Belinda (Jim) Slade and family-Mississippi, mother-in-law Annie Boland, in laws David (Alice) Boland, Garry Boland (Leona Corbett), Deborah Boland (Reuben Butler), Marlene Boland, nieces and nephews, and he also leaves behind a large extended circle of family and friends. Visitation will be held at Barrett's Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mt. Pearl on Tuesday evening 7-9pm and Wednesday 2-9pm. The funeral will be held at Parish of the Ascension, Smallwood Drive on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 2pm. Interment to follow at a later date.
